project based writer

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, a nonprofit cultural center located at the site of the original 1969 Woodstock festival in Sullivan County with offices in Bethel and Liberty NY, seeks a professional, creative writer who is available locally for contract-based writing assignments both on and off-site. Upcoming writing and editing projects include developing a case for support, grant proposals, appeal and outreach letters, a report to the community, organizational press releases, and strategic planning documents.

Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years experience working as a development writer for cultural, arts, or educational organizations. Must be  able to consistently meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, work both independently and collaboratively with the CEO and Advancement, and Education teams with a clear, concise and persuasive writing style. Experience in educational program development is a plus.
