This year’s World Heritage Day at Harvest Festival will focus on music and art from around the globe. The stage will be headlined by two talented and diverse ensembles: Simple Gifts, a folk and world music ensemble; and Kofi and Sankofa Drum and Dance Ensemble. Simple Gifts is composed of two women playing twelve instruments and performing Romanian, Klezmer, Greek, Irish, Scandinavian, Appalachian music and much more! Kofi and Sankofa Drum and Dance Ensemble celebrates the interrelated arts of drumming and dance from Western Africa. Both groups will give live performances and will also lead hands-on workshops for youth and families. Art activities for children will focus on further exploring world cultures through music and visual arts. This event marks the beginning of a year-long partnership between Simple Gifts and Bethel Woods. Information is available in the Welcome Tent.

Sing-a-long and Story time at 11am and 1pm.
Special Demonstration by the Woodridge Soup Emporium will showcase market items. The Sullivan County SPCA will be on site to share information about adopting pets.
2013 marks the fifteenth anniversary of the Harvest Festival, an annual event celebrating the bounty, talent, and beauty of Sullivan County and surrounding areas
Held every Sunday in September, the festival features a farmers market, craft village, live performances, corn and hay mazes, pony rides and more. Each week offers a new theme or special event sure to please the entire family.
