There’s a 60% chance for rain today and just like August ’69, all good concerts get some rain. Arrive prepared with blankets for the lawn and an extra sweater. Small hand-held umbrellas ok. All shows rain or shine--it will not cancel. Further instructions will be communicated from our command post in the event of dangerous weather. Concert ticket holders can get updates from our Facebook page, website or local media including Thunder 102, WRWD or The Wolf.

The Virtual Reality World Tour 2012 includes reigning ACM and CMA New Artist of the Year and contenders for the 2012 ACM Vocal Group or Duo The Band Perry and reigning American Idol and current nominee for the 2012 ACM New Artist Scotty McCreery.

ACM and CMA award winning performer Brad Paisley announced that he will bring new artists and fun to “The Escape,” an entertainment area in the plaza at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Friday, August 10. It features a fun-filled outdoor plaza area with games, contests, photo ops, food vendors, and performance stage.

Continuing with the tour theme there will be a “Virtual Opry” stage that incorporates a futuristic Grand Ole Opry backdrop and signature mic stands. Performing on the stage starting at 5:00pm will be Kristen Kelly, Jana Kramer and Love and Theft. All three artists will be signing autographs immediately following their performances on the “Virtual Opry” stage.
