This is a family-friendly one-hour-fifteen minute version of Gilbert and Sullivan's famed operetta. Fully costumed with staging, some props and a new colorful backdrop set completing the stage picture as the quintet of singers and piano take the audience through a fun, musical adventure that is great for kids ages 4-94. All the famous and favorite numbers from the full show are performed with most of the dialogue, with narration taking care of the rest.

Pre-performance Art Activity: In celebration of the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Player's presentation of Pirttes of Penzance, kids can participate in a pre-show craft that will help them get into the spirit of the piece. Using a gourd and a variety of craft materials, participants will fashion their own colorful pirate head to commemorate their day with us.

The World Stage Series explores and pays tribute to different cultures and traditions through music, dance and other cultural and performing arts in order to promote an appreciation and respect for all cultures.
