Bette Davis (in an Academy Award-nominated performance) stars in the title role as a psychotic has-been vaudeville and film actress who holds her more successful, but tragically crippled sister Blanche (Joan Crawford) hostage for a sinister game of torture. This psychological thriller is a heart-stopping race against time as Blanche improvises a plan to survive.
