food recovery partnership program

Bethel Woods has partnered with ARAMARK and Rock and Wrap it Up (RWU), a non-profit organization that works to recover food and other assets, obtained without cost, which are given to agencies fighting hunger and poverty. Food which has been prepared but not served is collected from the various onsite concessions, following concerts and events at Bethel Woods. This recovered food will be donated to the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless who provide about 150 meals per day to the needy in our county.

2009 collected food fed 900 needy individuals within Sullivan County through The Federation for the Homeless and was supported through donations by ARAMARk, Catskill Harvest, Jill's Kitchen and LaBean Coffee.
