Participants included several young members of the Project DREAM Tank who have formed their own "tub" style band. This hands-on workshop included discussion and demonstrations with an educational focus on drumming and percussion techniques.
"YOUTH AT" PROGRAMS
Regional young adults are invited to visit Bethel Woods during a culturally oriented show and participate in pre-show activities such as performances, lectures and demonstrations with premier artists. In addition, music students are permitted to showcase their talents.

August 22, 2009 - Forty middle school students from the Goshen Youth Jazz band participated in Youth at Pops, their third consecutive year of participating in the "Youth at" series. This year students were invited to participate in an interactive "Conductor's Talk" with Maestro Keith Lockhart of the Boston Pops, prior to the main stage performance. Maestro Lockhart discussed his experiences with the Pops and relayed encouraging messages for these young musicians. The students then had the opportunity to perform for concert guests as they entered the venue and were invited to attend the Boston Pops evening performance.
