WoodsTalk: Live Presents "Tea for Three: Lady Bird, Pat, and Betty"
With Actress Elaine Bromka
WoodsTalk: Live - Events that speak to the arts and humanities, the power and possibilities of the lessons of the 60's
WoodsTalk:Live on Sunday, November 01, 2015 features award-winning actress Elaine Bromka in Tea for Three: Lady Bird, Pat, and Betty. This theatrical one-woman show offers a fresh, behind-the-scenes look at three of our First Ladies – Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon, and Betty Ford. In this time of often polarizing politics, Tea for Three humanizes the arena, allowing audiences to stand in those women's shoes. This warm, whimsical and deeply moving story has been playing across the country for several years. The show runs approximately 80 minutes – without intermission, but with two brief intervals between scenes. A talk-back will follow.
WoodsTalk: Live invites dynamic and engaging speakers to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts to lead explorations into the power and possibilities of arts and humanities, inspiring us to think critically and provoking us to become engaged members of our communities. These events are live conversations where music, the ‘60s, and the value of arts and humanities will awaken the lessons of the past into their relevance today.
