Craving good conversation and good food? Join us for Kitschy Kitchen, a cultural cooking demonstration with a 1960’s zest of flavor. Local chefs Dayna and Raeann from Early Bird Cookery will teach the techniques and ingredients used to create their signature dishes, while exploring how women like Betty Crocker, Julia Child and Helen Gurley Brown revolutionized domesticity.
Early Bird Cookery, located in Cochecton, NY, offers Farm-to-Table meal delivery and catering, they are a member of the Slow Foods UpDeRiVa group, Pure Catskills and Chefs for Marcellus.
Bring your appetite and opinions for juicy conversations that explore the past and present of domestic identity paired with reinvented retro-recipes. Menu for the night includes appetizers and salad, an entree of Beef Bourguignon, and a surprise dessert! 1960's trivia and family recipes will be investigated, demonstrated and devoured!
