What are the different venues at Bethel Woods?
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is an outdoor performing arts center and Museum located approximately 90 minutes from New York City at the site of the original 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair in Bethel, NY. The 15,000 seat outdoor performing arts venue and The Museum (opening June 2, 2008) are set within nearly 2,000 bucolic acres. The Pavilion Stage covers 4,500 seats with another 10,500 on a natural sloping lawn while offering unique backdrops including the original 1969 Woodstock festival site and the majesty of the surrounding Sullivan County countryside. Other venues at the center include an outdoor 1,000-seat Terrace Stage, a Museum Events Gallery and the Harvest Festival Site where there is a craft and farmer's market. The original Woodstock site, which holds a permit for 30,000 concertgoers to attend major musical events, is also located on the campus.

What is The Museum at Bethel Woods?
The Museum tells the story of the Sixties and Woodstock. It interprets the unique experience of the Woodstock festival, its significance as a culminating event of a decade of radical cultural transformation, and the legacies of the Sixties and Woodstock today. Through personal stories and profiles, immersive musical and multi-media exhibit displays and experiences, engaging programs, and educational events, The Museum encourages inter-generational dialogue about important ideas and issues relevant to today. How much time should I plan to spend in The Museum at Bethel Woods?
Please plan to spend a minimum of 2 hours to fully enjoy The Museum. Many people will want to spend more time with the diverse interactive and video features for a richer experience.
Is The Museum handicap and wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Bethel Woods exceeds standards for accessibility. Parking for guests with a valid handicap license plate or other authorized identification is available. Guests should follow signage towards the Accessible parking areas for designated parking. Guests requiring accessible seating for concert events should make advance reservations to avoid disappointment. What items are not allowed to be brought in to The Museum?
Food, beverages and audio, video and still photography equipment are not permitted in the exhibit areas and Events Gallery.

Can I visit The Museum and go to a concert on the same day?
Yes, you can visit The Museum and attend a concert on the same day. Due to heavy Museum visitation on concert days, and to avoid disappointment, advance tickets are strongly required and may be purchased by phone at Ticketmaster (866) 781-2922 or at Ticketmaster.com. Visitors must purchase their Museum tickets in advance and for a specific entry time. The last entry to The Museum on a concert day is 5:30pm. The Museum at Bethel Woods is an immersive, highly interactive experience so we suggest that you plan at least 2 hours for your visit through the main exhibit gallery. Many people will want to spend more time for a richer experience with the diverse interactive and video features.

Can I take pictures inside The Museum at Bethel Woods?
Photography, videography, and sound recording are not allowed inside The Museum exhibit areas. The Museum Shop offers a variety of souvenirs, and photos are allowed outside the galleries.
Where and how can I purchase tickets to The Museum at Bethel Woods?
Advance tickets are available by phone or online. To avoid disappointment during the busy summer season, advanced tickets are strongly recommended, and may be purchased online or by phone. On Pavilion Stage performance days, it may be difficult to obtain Museum tickets, so please plan your trip in advance.
Where can I pick up Museum and concert tickets?
Tickets can be picked up at the Will Call window at the box office on Hurd Road. Remember to bring your photo ID and the credit card you used for the ticket purchase.
Can I get a discount if I buy tickets for a large group?
