Take your concert experience to the next level with Camping at Bethel Woods!

From May-October, guests can enjoy a variety of camping types on concert and festival days, all with stunning views of the Bethel Woods campus and surrounding landscape of the 1969 Woodstock festival site.

Whether you choose to stay within the Pavilion footprint by pitching your own tent, upgrade to glamping, or roll into the Best Road campground with your RV, you will be less than half a mile from New York State’s number one amphitheater and the award-winning Museum at Bethel Woods. There will be two camping locations: Pavilion Camping and the nearby Best Road Camping, each with a variety of options.

PAVILION CAMPING

Pavilion Camping is located within the concert venue near the amphitheater and has stunning views of the Bethel Woods campus and surrounding historic site. These camping areas are just a short (5) minute walk to the Pavilion stage or The Museum at Bethel Woods. Shuttles are available at varying times for guests who require transportation assistance. 

Glamping

These are not just tents. Enjoy a luxury experience that combines the best of camping with the amenities of a hotel.

  • Basic Glamping – 2-person bell tent: Each basic bell tent sleeps 2 people and comes with bedding and an electrical power strip for charging devices.  Includes access to nearby restrooms and free shower facilities. Please bring your own towels.
  • Luxury Glamping: Each glamping tent has furniture with bedding; a bathroom with shower; wifi; electricity; portable heater; outdoor deck seating; and other deluxe amenities. Luxury glamping guests receive complimentary access to the Museum at Bethel Woods during their stay.
    • Luxury - 1 Bedroom safari tent: sleeps up to 2 people
    • Luxury - 2 Bedroom safari tent: sleeps up to 4 people
    • Luxury - 3 Bedroom safari tent: sleeps up to 6 people

Premier Tent Only Camping

  • Bring your own tent within a 20'x20' grass site for up to (4) people
  • Includes nearby portable toilets, handwashing stations, and showers
  • No cars permitted on site for these camping areas

BEST ROAD CAMPING

Best Road Camping is located across the street from Pavilion Camping, approximately 4/10ths of a mile from the Pavilion or the Museum. This area hosts RVs and car camping for all types of vehicles and tent sizes.  Camping sites on Best Road are allocated as you arrive and cannot be held or reserved, so if you're planning to camp with other groups, your vehicles must arrive at the same time. Additional guest passes can be purchased for groups larger than 4. Sizes are not exact and may vary.

Shuttles are available at varying times for guests who require transportation assistance.

Premier RV

  • Best view of the Bethel Woods campus and surrounding landscape
  • Generous 30'x65' gravel pad for up to (4) people
  • Includes 50 amp electric hookup, water, and access to (1) sewer pump out via outside provider
  • Includes access to nearby restroom and free shower facilities

Additional guest passes can be purchased for groups larger than (4). Sizes are not exact and may vary.

Primitive RV

  • Best view of the Bethel Woods campus and surrounding landscape
  • Site on grass location of 30'x45' for up to (4) people
  • Best suited for larger vehicles (SUVs or travel trailers) as opposed to car camping
  • Includes access to nearby restroom and free shower facilities
  • Pump out and water delivery services available for a fee

Car Camping

  • Approximately 30'x30'
  • Includes camping for up to (4) people, allowing (1) vehicle
  • Nothing may be placed outside the boundaries of your campsite, so purchase number of campsites accordingly
  • Accommodates all types of cars, large vans, and tents
  • Access to nearby portable toilets, hand-washing stations, and free showers
  • Sites allocated upon arrival (if you're planning to camp with others, you must arrive at the same time)

UPCOMING EVENTS

Please be aware that a concert ticket is required in order to purchase a camping space. 


CAMPING POLICIES

  • Guests must have a valid concert or festival ticket and camping pass to enter the campground and be present at the time of check-in.
  • Check-in time is generally 3 PM on the day of the event and check-out time is generally 11 AM the day after the event. Please refer to the timing on your specific event date for the most accurate information.
  • Quiet hours are from 2 AM to 8 AM
  • Underage use or possession of alcohol will not be tolerated; No large parties, kegs, or binge drinking devices, and all alcohol must be consumed at your campsite (no open containers in common areas are permitted).

SECURITY

  • All guests will take part in a security screening upon arrival as well as entry or exit into the concert venue. Security patrols of the campground and CCTV monitoring occur 24/7.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • No illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • No firearms
  • No weapons of any kind, hatchets, knives, axes, bows and arrows, etc.
  • No fireworks, camp, or open fires
  • No unauthorized vending of food, merchandise, or alcohol
  • No pets, other than service animals, are allowed
  • No drones can be flown over Bethel Woods property
  • No glass containers of any kind are permitted

Camping FAQs

  • Are there activities in or near the campground?

    • The award-winning Museum at Bethel Woods is less than half a mile from either camping location and offers backstage tours, guided docent tours, and self-tours 
    • Seasonal programming within the Campground will be announced.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    • No pets are allowed except for Service Animals on the campsite.

  • Can I camp if I do not have a show ticket?

    • No, you will need a ticket for the event and a camping pass to enter the campground.

  • Can I stay multiple days if there are back-to-back events or multi-day festivals?

    • If you have purchased camping for multiple events, please be prepared to show your tickets for each event and all your camping passes before entering your campsite. This is so we can place you within an area that will not require you to re-enter.

  • Does the Campground close if it rains?

    • Our events are rain or shine. Our campground will be open rain or shine as well. In the event of threatening weather, be sure to monitor our website and social media for updates or possible information on evacuations.

  • How do I dispose of trash?

    • To ensure the cleanliness of our venue, we ask that you discard all trash in the provided trash cans before you depart from your camping site.

  • How do I get to the amphitheater from my campsite?

    • The amphitheater is a short walk from both Pavilion Camping and Best Road Camping. For guests who purchased Best Road Camping, a free shuttle service will be provided, subject to availability.

  • How many people can fit within a campsite?

    Glamping bell tents accommodate 2 people; Premier Glamping sites range from 2-6 people, while all other sites include up to 4 guests, with additional guest passes available for purchase. All camping guests must have a valid concert or festival ticket.

  • Is alcohol allowed?

    • Yes, alcohol is allowed for our 21 and over guests within the confines of the campground at your individual campsite. No open containers or alcohol consumption is allowed in public areas (i.e. pathways to the venue or on the roads).

  • Is there light at the campsite?

    • Portable light towers will be deployed along high-traffic routes along the campsite.

  • Is there Wi-Fi?

    • Wi-Fi or cellular service (AT&T and Verizon) will be available in all areas of the campground.

  • What are the quiet hours?

    • Quiet hours are from 2:00 AM – 8:00 AM; please be mindful of your noise level during this time regardless of the time of day.

  • What are the sizes of each RV campsite?

    • Premier RV sites are approximately 30’ X 65’ with room for one RV or vehicle
    • Primitive RV sites (no hookups) are approximately 30’ X 45’ with room for one RV or vehicle

  • What is included in Pavilion Camping?

    • Pavilion camping is located within the concert venue and a short five-minute walk to the amphitheater or the Museum at Bethel Woods. Depending on the site you choose, you will be in either a safari-style glamping tent, a 2-person bell tent, or your own tent.

    Luxury Glamping:

    • A bathroom with shower
    • Wifi

    • outdoor deck seating
    • and other deluxe amenities.
    • Complimentary access to the Museum at Bethel Woods

    Basic Glamping: 

    • A pre-set furnished bell tent with bedding for 2 people

    Bring Your Own Tent:

    • A 20' X 20' grass site for up to 4 people to set your own tent
    • Nearby portable toilets, hand washing stations, and free showers

  • What is included in the Best Road Camping selection?

    • In the Best Road Camping selection there are two categories: RV (Premier and Primitive) and Car Camping.

    Premier RV includes:

    • A generous 30' X 65' gravel pad
    • 50-amp electric hookup, water, and access to one sewer pump out by appointment only
    • Passes for up to 4 people, with the ability to purchase additional guest passes
    • Access to nearby restrooms and free shower facilities
    • Free shuttle service into the amphitheater is provided, subject to availability

    Primitive RV Includes:

    • Parking on a grass location of 30' X 45' for one vehicle or RV
    • Pump out services are available for a fee by appointment only
    • Passes for up to 4 people with the ability to purchase additional guest passes
    • Access to nearby restrooms and free shower facilities
    • Free shuttle service into the amphitheater is provided, subject to availability

  • What kind of restrooms and showers are available?

    • Temporary accessible restrooms, port-o-lets, and portable showers will be in each camping area.
    • Glamping tents have private bathrooms and showers.
    • Premier RVs will have access to electric and water hookups. They will also have the option to request an appointment for complimentary dump service for black and gray water holding tanks.
    • Primitive RVs will have the option to request an appointment for dump service for black and gray water holding tanks for a fee.

  • What should I bring with me?

    •  Clothing for all temperatures - the nights can be chilly in the mountains, even in summer
    • A debit or credit card (we are a cashless facility)
    • Sunscreen
    • You can bring your own food to the campground, though we do have some great food options within the two campsites
    • Flashlight
    • Charging cables for phones and other devices
    • A tent and sleeping bags if you are not booked in a glamping or pre-set site

  • What time does the Campground at Bethel Woods open?

    • The campground will open typically at 3 PM the day before a show or event, but the time can vary depending on the event. Please refer to the time printed on your campground ticket for your specific opening time and double check your pre-show advisory for updates.

  • When do I need to check out?

    • Check-out time is no later than 11 AM the morning after your event.
