Rock out this fall at Bethel Woods!

This six-week after-school program is open to all levels and talents, perfect for budding musicians. Teaching Artists Brandon Sparkman and Collin Bergkamp share music skills through group lessons and individual instruction in guitar, drums, vocals, and keyboard, ultimately learning how to play as a group ensemble.

MEET YOUR TEACHING ARTISTS

Brandon Sparkman

Brandon Sparkman is a music educator teaching elementary music, band, and chorus at Chester Elementary School where he also runs a jazz band and multiple clubs. He also enjoys performing with many music ensembles in the area.

Collin Bergkamp

Collin Bergkamp was born and raised in Lew Beach, NY. He started playing guitar at 14 and studied music at Schenectady Community College. He has played guitar in many bands including his current project as a member of The Bergkamp Bros Band. Some collaborations include The Drifters, Gene Ween, Juma Sultan's (percussionist with Jimi Hendrix) Aboriginal Music Society, and Daniel Zebulon (percussionist with Stevie Wonder, Richie Havens, Issac Hayes). For 25 yrs Collin has taught thousands of guitar lessons privately and publicly including Music and Arts Centers, School of Rock, Rock Academy and Bethel Woods.

Young people from across our region come together after school at Bethel Woods, where talented Teaching Artists from the local community impart their creative skills in a variety of music and studio art classes framed by our legacy location. Bethel Woods provides a welcoming space for all abilities.
