Arts in Healing: Family Support Group
Free and confidential Creative Arts Therapy support group for those with a loved one struggling with addiction
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts invites you to 6-week pilot support group for family members impacted by addiction, led by Creative Arts Therapist Candace Rivela.
Creative Arts Therapy integrates various aspects of the arts in a safe, non-judgmental space to facilitate personal growth and healing. Our pilot group offers family members an opportunity to awaken their creativity in a supportive, community-centered process that will lead to emotional release, self-compassion and new insight. Learn from the challenges and successes of others who can relate to your situation and find your own inner strength through a process of creative discovery on the historic grounds of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair.
Weekly sessions will incorporate group discussion and sharing, mindfulness exercises, creative arts activities, and experiences on our campus including the Museum.
