Project: Identity Photography II

Past Project Identity: Photography participants are invited to return to Bethel Woods for a digital editing 3-day intensive workshop at the Conservatory at Bethel Woods.

Past Project Identity: Photography participants are invited to return to the Conservatory at Bethel Woods for a 3-day intensive photography workshop focused on photo editing. Students will learn how to alter, retouch and color correct photographic images utilizing both Adobe Photoshop through a variety of hands-on tutorials and projects. The program will culminate in an intimate 'family & friends style' pop-up gallery exhibition on the final day of the program.

Project: Identity Photo is free digital photography intensive for high school teens. This unique 12 week program, which runs from February to May each year, provides an opportunity to learn the basics of photography, composition, historical photo processing and Adobe Photoshop. A culminating photobook and exhibition is developed and shared with the community. Participants explore the medium of photography as a conduit for personal expression and storytelling. We equip students with a standard point and shoot camera and upon successful completion of the program, they are able to keep the camera! Photos will be exhibited on site at the Bethel Woods Event Gallery, via the internet/social media throughout the year, in print as well as at local galleries throughout Sullivan County. Student work can be seen from October through November 2019 at Gallery 222 at Hurleyville Arts Centre in Hurleyville, NY.
