Creativity begins behind the lens, but is perfected behind the computer screen.

During this day long workshop, photographers Kandace Gittleman and Marika Robak will help you take your editing to the next level. Capped at 12 students per session, receive hands-on instruction that will empower you to use Lightroom Classic while briefly touching on additional plug-ins. Students will have access to Mac desktop computers at Bethel Woods' Conservatory and will leave with one finished, printed image, plus the skills to edit images independently.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Kandace Gittleman

Lead Teaching Artist

Kandace is an experienced designer and photographer possessing both the creative and technical skills to create beautiful landscape and portrait photography. She began early on with film, developing 35mm negatives and dark room printing and progressed into digital artistry staying current on the latest equipment, software and trends. Kandace is Proficient in Adobe Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop and Apple iPhoto. She is also the founder of successful interior design firm and  currently residing in Sullivan County. Kandace is very excited to be part of the Educational and Creative team at Bethel

Marika Robak

Assistant Teaching Artist

Marika Robak (Assistant Teaching Artist) was born in Harris, N.Y., and received her M.F.A. from Pratt Institute. She is passionate about investigating the “man-altered landscape” and candid imagery characteristic of street and documentary photography. Marika has enjoyed teaching aspiring artists of all ages for 9 years and hopes to never stop. She is currently a photography instructor at PhotoUno Photography School in New York, NY as well as One River School of Art & Design in Millburn, NJ. Marika joined the Bethel Woods cohort of teaching artist in 2023.
