The Harvest Festival: Week 2 feat. Rosehaven Alpacas

Harvest Festival has always been a staple for our region: connecting our community with the finest vendors, local farmers, and artisans.

Now in its 22^nd year, we think this may be the most important one yet.

In order to have an event that is both enjoyable and safe, we are making some changes.  Though the event may look a little different, the most important things will remain: shopping local, supporting your favorite farmers, and welcoming the return of autumn at the historic site.

Plus, we're excited to welcome our friends at Rosehaven Alpacas back! Please note that while they cannot bring the animals onto the site this year, they will still offer the same high-quality yarn, roving, rugs, socks, hats, gloves, and luxurious boutique items. 

What We've Done To Ensure Your Safety:

- Created a one-way foot traffic pattern in each vendor area to reduce crowding and congestion.

- Limited attractions (like sampling, demonstrations, live music, horse buggy rides, and the hay maze) that could cause excess congregation.

- Put into place stringent protocols to fight the spread of COVID-19.

- Created a Plan Your Visit Page, for even more details to help you feel safe and comfortable!

How You Can Help:

- You will be required to wear a mask during your time at the Harvest Festival. Masks may only be taken off when seated at your private table in the designated dining area.

- If you have experienced any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 in the last two weeks, we ask that you do not visit the Harvest Festival.

- Follow the CDC recommendation of 6 feet of space between you and your party and anyone else at Harvest Festival.

- We are encouraging cashless transactions.  However, if you are paying for anything with cash (such as the $5 parking fee), please try to use exact change.

- In lieu of shaking hands, please flash our staff and other guests a peace sign.  You’re in hippie country, after all!

Be sure to stop by the Welcome Tent where the Museum Education and Creative Programs team will have a unique weekly take-home activity for you.  All craft materials are provided and packaged with care, so all you need is creativity and imagination.
