“The only truth is music,” said 1960s icon Jack Kerouac. August PLAY After Dark celebrates the music of 1969. Come get your groove on with special performances inspired by a remix of the greatest festival of all time. Dress as your favorite musician, dance the night away, and make musical mayhem.
Members of Soul Inscribed, Baba Israel (Vocals, Beatbox, and Electronics), Grace Galu (Vocals, Guitar), and Sean Nowell (Flute/Sax/FX) will remix and re-imagine classic songs from not only the historic festival, but the last year of the transformative decade of the sixties. These interpretations will be interspersed with improvised rhyme and spoken word!
Festivities - including a complimentary drink - are included in the price of Museum admission!
