Attending Wine Festival? Here's what you need to know: For everyone’s safety, Bethel Woods conducts bag searches and walk-through metal detection as part of our security screening process.  Upon your arrival at the security screening area, be prepared to have your bag searched and to remove keys, cell phones, wallets and anything else that may delay your entry and place them in a provided container before walking through the metal detector. It is not necessary to remove shoes, belts, jewelry, wristwatches or coins.   We strongly urge all guests to budget additional time for entry into the venue when planning their visits.

All patrons are reminded to review our bag policy and prohibited items list before your arrival.  For this event, we are not following our standard concert clear bag policy. All types of bags will be permitted, however clear bags are encouraged to expedite the security screening process and will be available for purchase.  Additionally, two empty shopping bags per guest will be permitted.

Join us on Saturday, October 5, 2019 for the 8th Annual Wine Festival at Bethel Woods, located throughout the Bethel Woods main campus. Savor the finest wines from the Hudson Valley and Finger Lake regions while listening to live music, participating in fun games, and enjoying a food court to satisfy all cravings.

Plus, make a day of it with multiple pre-festival events for guests to enjoy, including a limited-seating Paint & Sip experience overlooking the Pavilion Stage led by artist and printmaker Susan Pantaleone from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m* and a Vintage Run Half Marathon and 5K, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. respectively. For more information about participating in the Vintage Run, visit www.vintageruns.com.

(*Please note this event begins at 11:00 AM, but does not include admission into the festival and conflicts with VIP Early Entry).

Enjoy Live Music on The Festival Stage:

Kat Wright

Kat Wright, whose voice is both sultry and dynamic, delicate yet powerful; gritty but highly emotive and nuanced, has been described as “a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse”. Add to that voice enough stage presence to tame lions, and the combination of feline femininity proves immediately enchanting. There’s soul flowing in and out of her rock ‘n’ roll with a serpentine seduction. Some of soul music’s sweet, grand dames belt, shout, seethe, and succumb, while Wright sings gently like a heartache’s apology. It’s funky in spots and beautiful all over. And it hurts a little … like it should.

The Big Takeover

Traditionalists or progressives? Fronted by the charismatic Jamaican-born singer and songwriter Nee Nee Rushie, the seven-piece New York band The Big Takeover plays original music that is rooted in and reverent toward the genres and rhythms of Jamaican pop: reggae, rocksteady, ska. They are devotees of Desmond Dekker and the way the old school did it. At the same time, The Big Takeover crosses lines and blends traditions like global pop fusionists. Their deceptively complex arrangements and big hooks connect with the spirit of Motown and the uptown sophistication of the 21st century retro soul and R&B revival scene.
