Family Programs

Creating memorable experiences at our historic site, ultimately encouraging collaboration, creativity, and dialogue.

family program at Bethel Woods

Led by our talented Teaching Artists, festivals, drop-in workshops, performances, family-friendly films, and sleepovers in the Museum provide family audiences with the opportunity to explore the 1960s.

While programming remains on pause due to the COVID-19 situation, we look forward to quickly and safely welcoming guests back to the historic site!

Past Programs Have Included:

Lunar Weekend

Lunar Weekend welcomed families to The Museum at Bethel Woods to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.  Featuring a 40-foot planetarium, talks with NASA Solar Ambassadors and a mad science show, Lunar Weekend was packed with out-of-this-world fun!

Museum Sleepovers

Sleepovers in the museum let guests experience Bethel Woods like never before! Themes vary - from Pirate Raids to Rock Star evenings - but all of which use our unique location and history to create an evening that is as informative as it is adventurous and fun.

Creative Learning Tent at Harvest Festival

Families enjoy art-making & togetherness in The Creative Learning Tent at our multi-weekend Harvest Festival in the fall. This is free, family-friendly, and offers different activities each week.
