Event Details
In this eight-week after school studio arts program, Bethel Woods Teaching Artists Teresa French and Kayli Hussey share their knowledge and passion in the arts, providing guidance and inspiring youth to stretch the limits of their artistic boundaries.
Divided into two four-week units (textile arts and sculpture) each week introduces new skills to add to continuing projects, allowing participants to broaden their horizons, embrace experimentation, and uncover hidden talents.
TEXTILE ARTS UNIT:
Participants will learn techniques working with various textiles, yarn, and weaving.
SCULPTURE UNIT:
Students will learn the different methods for sculpture, experiment with various materials including paper, metal, and upcycled items, in addition to participating in fun structural challenges.
Embrace the opportunity to learn and connect in a space that celebrates creativity.
Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance is available up to 100%. Please contact Education@BethelWoodsCenter.org to learn more.
About the Series
In this eight-week studio arts program for youth ages 7-13, active and thoughtful creation isn't just a mere endeavor, but a means of fostering personal growth, building connections, and cultivating a sense of belonging!
Located on the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair, Studio at the Woods' after school art and music classes bridge the past with the present, encouraging young artists to look beyond the canvas and notes, into a world of limitless possibilities and the enduring power of creative collaboration.
