The Adult Winter Wellness series is an ideal opportunity for our community to unite for soul-nourishing connections at the dawn of the new year. Each class offers a diverse range of experiences, embracing themes of new beginnings, self-care, and overall health and wellness.
From expressive arts activities that ignite a creative flow to gentle mind-body practices like yoga and sound healing that warm the body and spirit. Facilitated by a rotation of guest artists and wellness practitioners from the local area, these classes offer a holistic approach to well-being.
The Mindful Mosaic with Nia Brown

In this beginner-friendly mosaic workshop, participants will explore the soothing, meditative process of arranging color and texture into beautiful designs. No experience is needed, just curiosity and a desire to create something meaningful.
Clay Play with Sara Patterson

Beginner Tai Chi with Michael Koneci

Tai chi, often described as “meditation in motion”, is an ancient and beautiful martial art that enhances balance, strength, and flexibility. Participants will learn foundational postures and flowing sequences that promote balance, flexibility, and relaxation.

Discover the basics of drawing the human form in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. Using a live model, participants will learn simple techniques for observing proportions, posture, and movement, while practicing quick gesture sketches and basic shading. No prior experience is necessary.

In this creative workshop adults are invited to slow down and explore the art of still life photography as a form of mindful observation. Through simple guided exercises, participants learn to notice light, texture, and composition with fresh eyes, tuning into the quiet details that are often overlooked.
Ekphrastic Poetry with Dawn Leas
Step into the Museum at Bethel Woods and let art, music, and history spark your creativity. In this engaging workshop, participants will explore the museum’s immersive exhibits and use them as inspiration for writing ekphrastic poetry, which is poetry written in response to visual art or artifacts.
Beyond the Brush: Abstract Painting with Catherine Chesters
Explore the meditative process of creating abstract art using watercolors, acrylics & ink on various papers. Through layering, blending, and organic mark-making, you'll tap into your creative flow while embracing the unique qualities of each medium.
