Ticket and Arts Access Program

We believe the arts unite us. Shared moments of music, art, and expression strengthen the bonds within our community and celebrate our diversity. The Ticket and Arts Access Program (TAAP) ensures that everyone, regardless of financial or personal barriers, can experience the power of music and the arts.

Transformative Experiences for All

From concert tickets to arts education program scholarships, transportation, and meal vouchers, TAAP breaks down barriers to make cultural engagement accessible for over 1,000 participants annually.

Breaking Barriers, Building Community

Thanks to the generosity of TD Charitable Foundation, TAAP empowers economically disadvantaged and underrepresented communities to access transformative arts experiences. By eliminating financial and logistical barriers, this program fosters well-being, connection, and shared moments of joy that strengthen the social fabric of our community.

A Catalyst for Connection

Studies confirm that arts experiences enhance well-being, reduce stress, and cultivate social cohesion. We believe in resourcing our community service providers to determine who needs these experiences most and deliver the program through strong partnerships with organizations such as The Children’s Home and The NYS Office for Persons with Disabilities.

Through Ticket & Arts Access at Bethel Woods, we provide free tickets to young people, families and individuals who might not otherwise be able to attend to shows in our Pavilion and Event Gallery, and at the Horizon Stage.

We work with agencies and organizations to distribute tickets to selected performances.

We also work to provide scholarships to our arts education classes for young people who are eligible for the access program. When possible, we provide transportation to shows and classes for those who need it.

Funding for Ticket & Arts Access has been provided by the TD Charitable Foundation, Rea Charitable Trust, MVP Healthcare, the Irwin Siegel Agency: Howard Siegel – President, and individual donors Pamela Day, and Steve Alexander. Additional support comes from Bethel Woods members and donors and the artists on our stages.

Through the generous support of TD Charitable Foundation, the Ticket and Arts Access Program has become a vital resource for Sullivan County and beyond, offering equitable access to arts and culture. Together, we’re creating opportunities for connection, exploration, and personal growth.

What people are saying...

Past program recipients often tell us how much Ticket and Arts Access has enriched lives and positively impacted their communities.

"I love Bethel Woods"

I love Bethel Woods for giving back to the school community and making dreams come true for those who are less fortunate. Thank you for making it possible to give back to Sullivan County Schools. The field trips, the children's concerts, the summer scholarships, and more. Thank YOU!

"They had a great time"

For most of my clients, the program provided them with the first concert they ever attended. They had a great time and still talk about it.

"They loved it!"

Our programs and families who recently attended your Holiday Lights couldn't have been more pleased with the opportunity for the families and our adult programs. They loved it!

"...the first concert they ever attended."

For most of my clients, the program provided them with the first concert they ever attended. They had a great time and still talk about it.

"...they wouldn’t have been able to go..."

In just a couple of events so far, I was able to take a group of children to their first ever concert and take adults to a concert they wouldn’t have been able to go to!

"...they came back...with excitement..."

I have had a few providers work together to meet at the events and the children have enjoyed getting together with other children to have fun together. Each time they went they came back to me with excitement to tell me about what they did or saw while there.

"A memorable and enjoyable experience."

We went to three concerts last year and it was a memorable and enjoyable experience.

" The tickets…were a blessing"

Bethel Woods has provided numerous opportunities to enjoy the arts and shows these past few years. So many families…enjoyed a holiday season of 2023 filled with joy. The tickets…were a blessing for so many that their holiday season was filled with excitement.

"The community work...is a wonderful thing"

The community work being done at Bethel Woods is a wonderful thing, and I can't wait to have more of my program's participants visit and explore at Bethel Woods soon.

"Thank you for including us!"

Thank you for including us! For individuals and families with intellectual and developmental disabilities, being able to experience these at a lower cost or free is heartfelt and shows compassion as a community partner.

"Very impressed..."

The people that are processing the requests for tickets are very professional and make sure any issues are worked out quickly. Very impressed with their skills.
