Harmony for a New Generation

Imagine Peace is a Bethel Woods Center for the Arts initiative envisioning a fresh take on what peace can look like today.  Launched in 2024, Imagine Peace continues the legacy of peace and harmony established by the 1969 Woodstock festival which took place on the historic grounds that are today preserved by Bethel Woods Center and The Museum at Bethel Woods in Bethel, NY. Through the nonprofit mission of Bethel Woods, the initiative hopes to advance peace in today’s divisive times. Join us in fostering peace, addressing polarization, and advancing conflict resolution through innovative resources and programs.

Mission

Imagine Peace is dedicated to fostering unity, understanding, and dialogue in today’s divided world. Rooted in the legacy of the 1969 Woodstock festival, we explore and advance peace through music, storytelling, and collaborative programs that inspire action. By creating spaces for reflection, conversation, and shared experiences, Imagine Peace encourages individuals and communities to reimagine what peace can look like today—embracing diversity, finding common ground, and working together toward a more harmonious future.
