This tour solely focuses on our Museum, leading you through and giving you more information than you would find in the Museum alone. Enhance your Museum experience, and answer any queries you may have about Woodstock or 60’s history.

Ever wondered what it looks like backstage at Bethel Woods? Take our Behind the Scenes Tour lead and get a full picture of our beautiful venue. The tour begins with an introduction to the history of Bethel Woods and our mission to continue the legacy of Woodstock. Then, take a trip on a golf cart with one of our tour guides and hop onto our Pavilion stage! You’ll see the venue from a different angle, even getting a look at our artists' dressing rooms… The tour also looks through our luxury glamping area, and travels through the historic grounds.

MAIN GATE TOUR

Hop on a golf cart and travel back to 1969 where you’ll learn all about what was going on at the Woodstock Music and Arts Fair. Want to see the magical field where 450,000 people sat and jammed out? How about a trip through the Bindy Bazaar, where the intended main gate was located. Learn about lesser known locations of the festival, like the Free Kitchen, the Art Fence and The Playground. Throughout the tour, you’ll see never before seen photos of Woodstock, and stand in the exact location they’ve been taken.

MAIN GATE + TOUR

The Main Gate Plus Tour covers the same limited-access areas of the Bethel Woods site as the Main Gates tour and the Behind the Scenes tour, with more exclusive information. You’ll learn everything about the historic grounds on the same day a concert is being held. Want to see where your favorite artist will be staying just hours before they play? Led by our Museum Curator, who is well versed in the entirety of Woodstock history as well as Bethel Woods history and current operation.

This is the complete full package tour of the historic grounds and our venue. On the day after a show, there is one opportunity to see Behind the Scenes of how Bethel Woods works and learn how the Pavilion at Bethel Woods is integrated into the historic site and the DNA of the 1969 Woodstock festival. A golf cart tour hosted by the Museum Curator will show you the ins and outs of a concert tour and illustrate what it took to plan one of the greatest music festivals in history, and how we operate our concerts today! This tour will also focus on the research it has taken to find the paramount stories of Woodstock and will show you the locations where the history happened.

This 18+ only tour will tell you some of the more taboo stories of Woodstock and behind the 2025-2026 Special Exhibit How Bazaar! Arts, Crafts, and Camping at Woodstock. A perfect complement to the Main Gate Tour, go behind the scenes with a Museum curator, view artifacts, and hear research from the Oral History Initiative that isn’t as polished as our other tours and exhibits. All guests must show ID.
