Event Details
In this intensive two-week program, youth will immerse themselves in the world of visual art, gaining a deeper understanding of its various elements through hands-on exploration across a spectrum of media.
Led by experienced teaching artists, participants will explore their interests and curiosities while learning the foundational aspects of drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and more, drawing inspiration from the historic site and legacy of Bethel Woods.
Guided along the path of creative discovery, students will have the opportunity to create both individual and collaborative 2D and 3D artworks, pushing the limits of their imagination and creativity. The program culminates in a vibrant exhibition, providing a platform to showcase the students' artistic accomplishments and celebrate their creative journey.
About the Series
Peace. Love. Arts. You. Programs invite children ages 5-15 to explore the creative arts this summer at beautiful Bethel Woods, historic site of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair!
P.L.A.Y. Special offerings create a unique opportunity for children ages 10-15 to hone in on the specifics of various arts modalities from art and music to film and theater in very specialized two-week long sessions. Guided by our Bethel Woods Teaching Artists and selected special guests, participants will engage, connect, and deepen their skills while weaving together Bethel Woods themes of community, caring, and creativity.
