Joining That Motown Band is the legendary Garfield Fleming, a celebrated Soul vocalist who spent 25 years with The Delfonics alongside William Hart. With a striking resemblance to David Ruffin, Garfield captivates audiences, but it's his voice that truly transports fans back in time. He effortlessly channels the sounds of legends like Bobby Womack and David Ruffin, performing hits that resonate with nostalgia. In 1981, he released the unforgettable single “Please Don’t Send Me Away,” which continues to be cherished by listeners worldwide, solidifying his status as a solo artist.
At the helm of That Motown Band is musical director Tom Schizzano, a talented multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and vocalist. Tom has created and produced music for global television shows and advertising campaigns, with credits that include CBS/Paramount, Disney, PBS, and NBC/Universal.
His impressive resume features live performances with renowned artists like Hall & Oates, Cyndi Lauper, Lou Christie, and Paul Shaffer. Additionally, Tom has produced and arranged music for pop and oldies recording artists such as The Tokens and Jimmy Clanton. With a rich background in scoring independent films, he continues to write, arrange, and produce captivating music from his studio in Hauppauge, New York.
Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the legacy of Motown with That Motown Band and the incredible Garfield Fleming!
