A Year-Round Residency Celebrating the Power of Music

A Year-Round Residency Celebrating the Power of Music

Rather than a single annual event, artists from DMF’s record label, Just Call Me By My Name, will become a recurring part of the Bethel Woods experience, performing throughout the season on every stage across our historic grounds.

Daniel’s Music Foundation creates opportunities for people with disabilities through music.

About the Partnership

Music has the power to bring people together, inspire creativity, and build community.

Through this residency, Bethel Woods and Daniel's Music Foundation are expanding what inclusion looks like in the performing arts. Rather than a single annual event, DMF’s record label artists will become a recurring part of the Bethel Woods experience, performing throughout the season on every stage across our historic grounds.

A Season Long Artist Residency

Instead of one performance, different artists will appear throughout the year at a variety of Bethel Woods events, introducing thousands of visitors to extraordinary musicians and creating meaningful moments of connection. Each performance provides new audiences the opportunity to experience inclusive artistry while giving Just Call Me By My Name label artists paid professional performance opportunities throughout the season.

George Dennehy was born without arms, but that couldn't keep him from pursuing his love for music. He learned how to play music using his feet, and the first instrument that he learned was the cello at only eight years old. That led to George teaching himself how to play guitar, electric bass and basic piano. He gained worldwide attention after posting a video cover of "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls, in which the band themselves even saw the video and were so moved that they invited George to join them on stage to perform at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. Since then, George's career has continued to takeoff and he continues to share his powerful message: every individual has a purpose and absolutely anything is possible.

Watch George perform on the Harvest Festival Stage on August 30, before the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration. Included with your Pavilion show concert ticket.
